Everything Got Dibs does, in plain words. No hidden switches.
Launching
Fill in a name, ticker, image and optional description and links, then sign one transaction. It creates the coin on Meteora's Dynamic Bonding Curve using the Got Dibs config, with an optional dev buy in the same transaction. Launching is free.
Limits match the on-chain metadata: names up to 32 bytes, tickers up to 10 bytes. These tickers are reserved: $DIBS, $GOTDIBS, $SOL, $WSOL, $USDC, $USDT.
The update authority
A Solana coin's name, ticker and image sit in a Metaplex metadata account. The update authority on that account is the only key that can change them.
Got Dibs coins are created with the update authority set to the creator's wallet, from block 0. Got Dibs never holds it, never approves anything, and can't rename your coin. The mint authority is not handed over, so nobody can print more supply.
How to verify: open the coin's address on Solscan or any explorer, open its metadata, and check that "Update authority" is the creator's wallet. Every coin page shows both and links to them.
Renaming
Connect the creator wallet on your coin's page and the rename panel appears. Change the name, ticker, image, description or links, preview the new tag, and sign one transaction. The new image and metadata are stored permanently first; the on-chain update points at them.
Holders, chart, liquidity and the contract address don't change. Right after a rename Got Dibs asks the trading sites that offer a refresh to pick up the new name, and the coin page shows where it's already live.
Renames work before and after graduation.
The rename-history guarantee
Every rename is an on-chain transaction, so it can't be hidden. Got Dibs lists each one on the coin's page (old name, ticker and image, the time and the transaction, newest first) and on the Renames page, forever.
Old names stay searchable: search an old ticker and you land on the coin it became. Renames made outside Got Dibs, straight from a wallet or a script, are detected from chain and listed too, marked "made outside Got Dibs". Coin cards show "renamed from $OLD" for 7 days.
Fees
Every trade pays 1%, always in SOL. Meteora takes its fixed share; the rest splits evenly between the coin's creator and the $DIBS buyback. Integer math matches Meteora exactly: the fee rounds up, the creator's share rounds down.
| Every trade pays 1% | Of the trade |
|---|---|
| The coin's creatorPaid to the creator's wallet, claimable anytime. | 0.40% |
| $DIBS buyback and burnBought back every 60 minutes and 100% burned. | 0.40% |
| Meteora (protocol)Meteora's fixed cut of every bonding-curve fee. | 0.20% |

Anti-sniper fee
For the first 30 seconds after launch, the fee starts at 20% and drops in 10 equal steps (one every 3 seconds) to 1%. The extra goes to the creator and the burn, split the same way. The creator's dev buy in the launch transaction is the first swap and pays only 1%.
Graduation
When the bonding curve fills, the coin migrates to a Meteora DAMM v2 pool with a 1% fee. There's no graduation fee. All migrated liquidity is permanently locked: 50% to the creator, 50% to Got Dibs. Nobody can pull it; both sides keep claiming their LP fees. The update authority stays with the creator.
$DIBS and the burn
Got Dibs' share of fees is claimed and swapped for $DIBS every 60 minutes, and 100% of it is burned. Runs under 0.05 SOL are skipped so fees don't eat them. Every run is listed with its transactions on the $DIBS page.
